Grace Adventures Day Camp is the place to be for Summer 2012! We look forward to welcoming your children, ages 4‐17 into Pioneer Camp (Junior Camp), Explorer Camp (Day Camp), SIT Camp and Servant Team. Join us for a Superhero Summer as we discover heroes in unlikely places. Our well‐trained, mature and absolutely fun‐loving staff will take your kids on an adventure of a lifetime… one they’re sure not to forget. At GADC we are committed to building long‐lasting relationships with your kids and your family through our programs, staff and activities. Pioneer Camp
Description: Pioneer campers spend half of the day outdoors playing games, exploring and building forts in the woods, splashing through water play. After lunch, they spend the other half of the day creating art projects, singing, dancing and having fun. Depending on the age of the campers, activities may also include time on the playground, in the sand box, on the volleyball court, at the basketball hoops, under the pavilion and in the creek. Counselors spend time engaging campers in small group Bible time and large group assemblies where they bring fun to learning about the Bible.
Ages: 4 (as of first day of camp) to Pre-K
Session: One Week

Cost: $200 a week
Explorer Camp
Description:
Explorer campers spend a majority of the day outdoors playing games, exploring and building forts in the woods, creating art projects and splashing through water play. Depending on the age of the campers, activities may also include time on the playground, in the sand box, on the volleyball court, at the basketball hoops, under the pavilion and in the creek. Counselors spend time engaging campers in small group Bible time and large group assemblies where they bring fun to learning about the Bible.
All Explorer campers will choose a specialty they would like to “major” in throughout the week. They will spend half the day in their specialty and half the day doing the activities listed above.
Ages: Completed K – Completed 5th grade
Specialties:
Art 1 (K – 2nd) Art 2 (3rd – 5th)Campers will work in a variety of media to complete fun arts and crafts activities.
Drama 1 (K-2nd) Drama 2 (3rd – 5th) Campers will learn about improvisation, scripts, skits, costumes, and will perform at the Friday Parent Assembly.
Sports (K‐2nd) Sports ( 3rd ‐5th) Campers will play a variety of outdoor sports, games and activities.
Outdoor Exploration Campers will explore the great outdoors while learning about orienteering, map reading, creature habitats, natural resources and conservation.
Cheerleading Campers will learn cheers and simple tumbling to perform at the Friday Parent Assembly.
Fun Lego Building 1 Fun Lego Building 2 Campers will enjoy playing with Legos and building Lego creations. Lego 1 and 2 are different projects. Campers may only sign up for one of each.

S.I.T. Camp (Servants in Training)
Description: S.I.T. Camp is an opportunity for middle school students to grow, serve and have fun at the same time. SIT Campers will spend part of their day engaging in various outdoor activities together as a group and the other part serving alongside the high school Servant Team members. SIT Campers will assist with assemblies, camp store, and counselor groups. They will also participate in team building, leadership, character activities, and Bible study for personal and spiritual growth.
Ages: Completed 6th – Completed 8th grade
Session: One Week
Ratio: 10:1
Cost: $100 a week
Servant Team:
Description: Servant Team is an opportunity for high school students to grow, serve and have fun at the same time. Servant Team assists with assemblies, camp store, and counselor groups. They will also participate in team building, leadership, character activities, and Bible study for personal and spiritual growth.
Ages: Completed 9th- Completed 11th grade
Session: One Week
Ratio: 10:1
Cost: $0 (Eligible for Volunteer Service Hours)
In an effort to raise the bar for our middle school and high school students, interviews will be required for all interested campers. Interviews will be held on May 19th and June 16th. Once registered, all S.I.T. and Servant Team Campers will be emailed an application and further information on the interview. You will be required to choose one of the two interview dates above.

Summer Schedule
Taste of Camp:
Looking for a shorter camp day for your younger kids? All campers age 4 through completed 1st grade can join us for Taste of Camp. From 9 AM to 12:40 PM we will give your camper a little taste of day camp. Half‐day activities will include water play, sports, art, outdoor exploration, assemblies, Bible time and more!
Week1: July 2– July 6
Week:2 July 9—July 13
Week 3: July 16—July 20
Week 4: July 23 – July 27
Week 5: July 30 – August 3
Camp Hours:
Regular camp hours are 9:00am – 4:00 pm. For an additional fee parents can drop campers off as early as 7:00am and pick up as late as 6:00pm. A $30.00 fee will be charged for either early or late care per week per child. If early and late care are both needed, they may be added for $50.00 per week per child. Parents picking up campers after 6:00 pm will be charged $10.00 per child for each additional 15 minutes.

Clothing:
Campers should come ready to play hard, have fun, and get dirty! No sandals or heelies, please. Each day they will need their bathing suits, towel, and sunscreen (Though we will not be going to a pool, we will be getting wet!)
Lunch:
Campers should bring lunch packed in an insulated lunch box with an ice pack Monday through Thursday. Friday is pizza day, which is included in tuition. Please make sure that your child has a refillable water bottle everyday. The Property of Grace Community Church is a nut free zone.
Scholarships:
We do have scholarships available for families in need. If you feel you are in need of assistance, please let us know during the registration process and we will do what we can to make camp more affordable for your family.
All scholarship applications must be submitted by May 14th. All paperwork must be received by May 28th and all scholarships will be awarded by June 4th. Please email Michelle Conner at graceadventures@gcconline.org or stop by the Grace Communtiy Church office to receive a scholarship application.
Sponsorship Opportunities:
Last year, we gave over $2500 in scholarships to families in need. We’re expecting this number to grow this summer. We need people like you to partner with us in this endeavor. To sponsor one child for one week, it would cost $250 (including early and late camp).
